Rangers International FC of Enugu have succeeded in getting the services of three new players for the second round of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) abridged season.
The Club Media Officer, Norbert Okolie, made this known to newsmen in Enugu on Monday.
He said that the club was ready for the remainder of the season.
Okolie mentioned the new players to include, Austin Osayande, Leonard Ugochukwu, and Chinecherem Ugwueze.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Rangers FC will take on Rivers United FC in a rescheduled match Day 8 fixture at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port-Harcourt on March 15.
The media officer said that the players had joined others in training and were in high spirits to contribute their quota toward helping the club achieve its set target for the season.
He said that Osayande joined from Dakkada FC, Ugochukwu joined from Akwa United all of Uyo while, Ugwueze joined from Giant Brillars FC of Enugu.
Okolie quoted the club Administrative Secretary, Ferdinand Ugwuarua, to have charged the players to be up and doing during their unveiling in Enugu.
Ugwuarua said, “It is a thing of joy for us to have the three players join our ranks to help us achieve our set target for the season.
“With the approval of the coaching crew, we went for the players and it is our hope and belief they are coming with the needed skills.
“The determination is to help us achieve what we set out initially to achieve at the start of the season.”
NAN reports that Rangers occupied seventh position on the abridged NPFL Group B log with nine points while Rivers United occupied second position with 15 points after eight matches.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
