Enyimba forward, Samuel Kalu is looking forward to returning to the pitch again after spending around a month on the sidelines due to injury, reports Prompt News.
Kalu sustained an Injury while on international duty with Nigeria in November.
The striker recently returned to training and is keen to get back into shape for the new season.
“It has been difficult for me because I hate injuries,” Kalu told the club’s official website.
“I hate sitting out of training and matches but when you’re injured, you cannot help it. I just love to be on the pitch all the time, training or match. Football is the only thing I do, so when I am unable to play, it makes me feel sad.
“I know how difficult it was for me when the team went for the Super Cup in Lagos. I couldn’t travel with the team because of the injury, so I just watched the matches online.
“But I’m happy that I can train now and I am getting better. By the time the season begins, I should be ready.”
