In furtherance to his consultation with critical stakeholders in football in Nigeria and determination to hit the ground running, Dr. Christian Emeruwa has also met with the North East Caucus of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) comprising the State Football Associations (FAs) Chairmamen.
The crucial meeting with the crucial stakeholders which took place on Wednesday night at John Wood Hotels, Wuse, Abuja had in attendance no fewer than six FA Chairmen from the North East geopolitical zone .
They are Chairmen of Borno State FA, Alhaji Babagana Kalli; Chairman of Bauchi FA, Mr. Patrick Pascal; Chairman of Gombe FA, Mallam Yakubu Sama; Chairman of Adamawa FA, Alhaji Waziri Abba Taweh; Chairman of Taraba FA, Mr. Timothy Heman Magaji
and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of League Management Company (LMC), Alhaji Salihu Abubakar just as Chairman of Yobe FA, Alhaji Garba was absent from the meeting.
Dr. Emeruwa who presented his strategic plans to the delegates on how he intends to create a viable football economy that will benefit stakeholders if voted into office on September 30 NFF Presidential Election later opened the floor for questions from the attendees.
The Head of Safety and Security Department of Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) answered all the questions posed to him by the delegates satisfactorily and at the end of the interactive session, the North East Caucus of NFF commended the efforts of Dr. Emeruwa, his commitment to Nigeria football and his vision.
They also commended his service so far to Nigeria football, to international football and wished him the very best in the upcoming election.
The former Head of Integrity Unit of NFF is continuing interactive meetings with critical stakeholders in Nigeria football even as he has been receiving overwhelming support from every group he has met.
