By Bolaji Oyegunle, London Nigeria’s Vice-President Nnamdi Sambo will on Thursday chair the launching of the biography of Dr Dalhatu Sarki Tafida, the High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and the ‘Campaign against ‘African Time Syndrome’.
According to the Bimbo Folayan, director of Nigerian Diaspora Direct Investment Summit (NDDIS), the event is designed to kick-start a reawakening of our ageless ethics and societal values in Nigeria and Africa.
He said it is also the first in the series of campaign against ‘African Time Syndrome’ (ATS), saying “we are using the personality of the Nigerian High Commissioner to the Court of Saint James’s H.E Dr Dalhatu Sarki Tafida, OFR, CFR biography titled: ‘The Legacy of Dr Tafida, A Time Conscious Disciplinarian’ as an example to this initiative.
“The launching of the book has been programmed to coincide with the birthday of the High Commissioner and we have the intention to seize the opportunity to also celebrate his life”.
