The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has proposed Saturday, 13th August, 2022 for the Annual General Assembly, AGA. which has been put on hold due legal issues.
According to our source at the glass house, the Federation is doing everything within its reach in making sure that the Congress is held as proposed.
Recall that the Federal Government in a letter through the Ministry of Sports has asked that the Election is held as and when due as four-year tenure of second term of Amaju Pinnick led board ends in September.
Though Federation is yet to secure a venue for the Congress but from the feelers from the football house, Bayelsa may likely host the AGA.
The congress which has been contentious for a while, is expected to discuss the setting up of the Electoral Committee and possibly fixing of dates for elections.
The NFF had stated that the Elections would not be held until the court order stopping it from holding the Congress is vacated.
The Claimant had since vacated the ex-parte order at the Bayelsa High Court to pave way for the Congress.
