Another military helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Air Force crashed on Thursday night in Adamawa State.
A top military officer who confirmed the crash to Prompt News on condition of anonymity said the pilot of the helicopter died.
As at the time of filing this report, neither the Defence Headquarters nor Air Force has issued official statement on the crash.
This is coming barely four days after an Air Force helicopter on a training mission crashed at a village in Girei Local Government of Adamawa.
The helicopter, Shark 23, according to the Defence Headquarters crash landed few minutes after take-off from Yola International Airport.
It will be recalled that an Alpha Jet also belonging to the Nigerian Air Force was declared missing in September.
The dreaded Boko Haram insurgents later claimed in a video clip that the missing Jet was shot down by them while the pilot had been killed.
