An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, on Monday remanded two persons, Johnson Olasunkanmi, 23, and Akeem Jebe, 24, at Abolongo Correctional facility for alleged murder.
The Senior Magistrate, Mrs M.A. Amole – Ajimoti who did not take the plea of the defendants due to lack of jurisdiction, ordered their remand at Abolongo Correctional facility, Oyo Town.
Amole – Ajimoti said the remand is pending till the outcome of the case file at the Oyo State Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
She adjourned the matter until May 13, for mention.
The defendants were charged on two counts bordering on conspiracy and murder.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Sgt. Phillip Amusan told the court that the defendants allegedly conspired together to commit the offences.
Amusan said that on Feb. 24, at about 7.30pm at Asunni Compound, Agbeni, Ibadan, the duo allegedly caused the death of Abiodun Apari, 28.
He said the offence contravened Section 316 and punishable under Sections 319 and 324 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.( NAN)
