The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Adamu Muazu has said that he wished the FCT Minister, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed would go back to Bauchi State to replicate all the good works he has been doing in the Federal Capital Territory.
The National Chairman stated this on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa when members of the FCT Traditional Council of Chiefs paid a courtesy call on President Goodluck Jonathan.
His words: “The Minister of the Federal Capital, how I wish this commitment that has been shown will go back to my state which is exactly what I want”.
“Before Bala understood me, some people told him that the Chairman doesn’t like you and I said to him, one day God would end these rumours. Until Bala came close to me, I was able to prove to him those who don’t like him and that, it is not me.
“I want to tell Bala that the will of God can never stop….. If, it is going to be, it will be”, the National Chairman stressed.
Muazu reiterated that from what we have seen and the endorsement the Minister gets from the FCT Traditional Council, who are the peoples’ natural rulers, maybe he will be the first Mayor of Abuja.
He therefore enjoined the Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, Philip Tanimu Aduda to just follow him because ‘the people have spoken’.
The National Chairman appreciated the FCT Traditional Rulers and other stakeholders on their entourage to the Presidential Villa for the resounding support to the FCT Administration and Mr. President, ‘the leader of my party’.
“As Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, I say thank you to all of you and we pray that your promise will be translated into full and total votes for our party. This is our time and we pray also that you make sure that in your various domains, that there is peace now and forever, especially during elections. We also pray that God will elevate you and guide you”, he added.
Muazu used the occasion to thank Mr. President, for the purposeful and committed leadership for not only the people of the Federal Capital Territory but also the entire people of this country.
“I want to say what the late Sardauna, Sir Ahmadu Bello had said; ……these days, people are busy blowing their own trumpets and they may never remember us, despite the fact that we have done much more. We have done a lot for our people. Thank you for your leadership,” the National Chairman emphasized.
Earlier, the Chairman of the FCT Traditional Council and the Ona of Abaji, Adamu Baba Yunusa thanked the President for giving them Bala Mohammed as Minister and urged him to leave him in the Federal Capital Territory.
He also thanked the President for convoking the National conference and appealed to him to implement its recommendations as it concerns the Federal Capital Territory.
