Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo has stated that the Super Eagles are only interested in winning all their games at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Nigeria have started on an excellent note, securing dominant victories over Egypt and Sudan.
The Super Eagles have surprised many, who thought they would struggle due to the unnecessary drama concerning the coaching position and player participation before the AFCON.
However, despite the impressive displays in their first two games, Aribo is still conservative regarding their ability to win a fourth AFCON crown for Nigeria.
“We are not really looking at how far we can go, we are just taking every game as it comes, and we want to win every single game,” he said ahead of the game against Guinea-Bissau.
“So hopefully, we can keep winning and keep the momentum together.”
The Rangers midfielder also rued the chances he missed, especially in the game against Sudan. The 25-year-old midfielder came close a few times but failed to hit the target.
“I’m a bit disappointed because I feel I should have scored today, but it happens, I’m sure I’ll get more opportunities and chances as the competition goes on.”
“So hopefully I can take one of those chances,” he added.
