The Nigeria National League (NNL) which was halted a forth night ago to allow for the determination of all the cases before the Disciplinary and Organizing Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), will resume next week.
This is sequel to the reconstitution of the Sub-Committees of the NFF by the newly elected Executive Board led by Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick which met in Abuja just as the Disciplinary Committee which is expected to meet next week will look into all the pending cases brought before it since the crises that rocked the federation in the recent past.
The NNL had stopped the competition to ensure that all the cases filed by different clubs are decided to ensure equity, to avoid any issues at the end of the competition and to give a level playing field to all the participating teams.
However, the NNL Chairman, Emeka Inyama has revealed that the league will resume next weekend after all the various protest cases filed by different clubs may have been dispensed off by the NFF Disciplinary Committee even as he assured that the remaining crucial three matches will be monitored to avoid giving an undue advantage to any club.
Consequently, the outstanding Week 26 match and also Weeks 29 and 30 season-ending matches respectively will now be played week after week to ensure that there will not be issues at the end of the competition.
Inyama therefore thanked all the clubs for their understanding during the NFF crises and promised them that the NNL will not leave anything to chance to make the league very open for the teams till the end.
