No fewer than 200 persons drawn from Bassa and Kotonkarfe LGA in Kogi and Chanchaga LGA and Bosso LGA in Niger states have been trained on modern Agricultural technics.
The project is aimed at promoting agribusiness in poultry and fish-farming as well as to bring succour to farmers across the country.
Addressing participants, the Director Communications Xploits Consulting Limited, Mrs Grace Taiwo, said the essence of the training is to improve the livelihood of the participants which by extension will help alleviate poverty and also contribute to the ongoing efforts targeted at diversification of the Nigerian economy by igniting the participants interest in Agribusiness.
Responding on behalf of the participants, Mrs Elizabeth Mesini who expressed delight at being a part of the training appreciated the organizers and appeal for financial support because few of them were pensioners.
Acknowledging the financial institution for it efforts in equipping people with knowledge, the District Head of Bosso (Sarkin Bosso) HRH Mu’azu Adamu Lako said the training couldn’t have come at a better time as the knowledge gathered will tremendously help his people.
The Agribusiness training which was facilitated by Xploits Consulting Ltd with support from Access Bank plc taught participants on selection of species, feeds, medication etc.
