The President of Entertainment Economic Summit Africa, Alhaji Musa Mantu, says the 2021 Miss Heritage Global event will showcase Nigeria’s cultural heritage to the world to attract investments.
Mantu made this known at a news conference on Monday in Abuja.
The theme for the event is “Abuja to the World.”
He said the event which would be hosted in Abuja would last for ten days in October and featured world class economic summit, cultural cuisines, fashion and tourism.
According to Mantu, this will attract investments from international entrepreneurs and boost the economy of the country and Africa in general.
“This event will be in commemoration of our political Independent celebration. The event will showcase different cultures in Nigeria, Africa and parts of the world.
“The conference will not only discuss and proffer short and long term solutions to Nigeria’s challenges alone but other countries in Africa.
“During the event, a legal document framework to boost the economy prosperity of the country would be drawn as a bill and presented to the Senate and subsequently to Mr President to sign into law.
“The Miss Heritage Global will be similar to FESTAC 1977, because over 60 countries are going to participate in this event that will hold in October.
“I call on all and sundry to support this project. This is for Nigeria; this is for Africa to drive and boost the economic activities of the continent.
“And, we are doing this with a lot of public and private sector partners,”Mantu said.
Similarly, Mr Nhlanhla Shabangu, the President of Miss Global Heritage from Republic of South Africa, said the 2021 event was the ninth edition.
Shabangu said Miss Heritage Global was established in 2012 and launched in 2013 in Zimbabwe.
“Our aim is the preservation of culture and heritage across the world. We are a tool that enhances culture and heritage. We boost tourism and economic activities.
“Miss Heritage carries out project on the eradication of malaria but in this edition, we are turning to sensitisation or rather creation of awareness on the COVOD-19 Pandemic.
“Also, our objective is to showcase Abuja and Nigeria as the giant of Africa. We are taking Abuja to the world. This is because Abuja is a business hub of Africa.
“We are happy to bring the event to Abuja. We believe that Nigeria has the potential of promoting African culture to the world.
“Nigeria play a pivotal role in presenting Africa as a developed continent and Abuja is a city that will make Africa shine,” Shabanga said.
Also speaking, Mr Chucks Anyadubo, the National Coordinator, Prince Mrs Nwoko Malaria Eradication Project, said they were ready to partner further with Miss Heritage Global to eradicate Malaria in Nigeria and Africa in general.
Mr Ronald Tisauke, the Vice President of Miss Heritage Global from Zimbabwe said COVOD-19 protocols would be strictly adhered to during the event.
He said activities for the event include, Cuisines/food fair, international Economic Conference, pageant show where 60 contestants would contest for the crown and musical concert.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 29 year-old actress and TV presenter, Nancy Isime is expected to host the event alongside other international personalities. (NAN)
