League Management Company and Club Managers and Chairmen rose from a meeting in Abuja on Wednesday, expressing satisfaction with the ongoing Globacom Premier League.
They issued a communiqué jointly signed by the League Management Company Chairman, Nduka Irabor and acting Chairman of Club Managers and Chairmen, Isaac Danladi. The communiqué reads:
The meeting review the first stanza of the league (now called the Globacom Premier League) and rated it above average and called for a sustainable improvement.
The meeting took brief of the involvement of the Nigeria Referee Association (NRA) as well as seasoned match Commissioners on the performance of the officiating and the organising of the league so far.
The meeting agrees that for efficiency in officiating and proper monitoring, of matches, the NFF (Nigeria Football Federation) is advised to peg the number of referees in the Premier League.
The meeting reviewed the mid-season report which was adopted and noted that there was an improvement from the past league.
The meeting noted with satisfaction the contribution of all the relevant stake holders on how best to move the league forward.
The meeting also discussed the proposed sharing formula for the league revenues and sponsorship funds and commended Globacom for supporting the league.
