Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has urged the Super Falcons to sustain the momentum by beating the She -Amavubi in the return leg match on Saturday.
Director of Technical at the NFF, Emmanuel Ikpeme told Falcons when he visited the team in training this evening at the FIFA Goal project pitch Abuja.
“I came to congratulate you girls for defeating Rwanda in their back yard, but I want you to sustain the tempo and the winning mentality of finishing what you started in far away Rwanda” Ikpeme stated.
He reminded the girls that playing in front of their fans could bring added pressure but enjoined them to make sure they don’t disappoint their fans as he urged them to spell Rwanda with goals.
The Super Falcons who won the 1st leg in Rwanda 4-1 have in response vowed to go all out against the She-Amavubi by beating them by a wider margin and qualify for the Africa women championship (AWC) in Namibia.
Team Skipper Evelyn Nwabuoku said they would not underrate the Rwandans despite the 4-1 advantage they took from the first leg.
“We know the task ahead of us and we are determined to get the job done very well on Saturday and focus on winning the AWC”.
