The number of COVID-19 deaths in Nigeria has risen to 709 even as 575 new cases were recorded on Friday.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, announced that the new cases spread across 17 States and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
As usual, Lagos top with 224 new cases, followed by Oyo state and FCT with 85 and 68 cases respectively.
However, 12,795 patients have been successfully treated and discharged.
