Barring any unforseen circumstances, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Glass House headquarters will seize to be at No. 2033 Olusegun Obasanjo Way, Zone 7, Wuse, Abuja next week.
Instead, the NFF will now operate from the newly refurbished Sunday Dankaro House which is located inside Package B of the Abuja National Stadium renamed Moshood Abiola National Stadium near the Abuja City Gate.
Prompt News Online reliably gathered from sources at NFF at the weekend that moveable assets of the federation will start going to the new secretariat on or before February 7.
According to the sources, finishing touches are being given to Sunday Dankaro House with most of the offices for the key officials ready to be occupied at the time of this report.
It was also learnt from those who should know at the NFF secretariat that new furniture have already been supplied while the cooling systems have been fixed in the offices.
Two giant standby generators have also been installed even as workmen (artisans) are working round the clock to ensure that the building is ready for occupation in one and half weeks.
It can be recalled that Nigeria’s Sports minister, Hon. Sunday Dare had last week after a tour of duty to Sunday Dankaro House given the NFF leadership two weeks to relocate to the new secretariat at National Stadium Abuja.
The NFF has been operating from the twin-building popularly called NFF Glass House in Wuse area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) since the seat of federal government moved to Abuja in 1997.
