            Helen-Esuene

By: Olusegun Lawrence        A member of the Senate, Helen Esuene Thursday said her 2015 governorship ambition has received the blessing of her Governor, Godswil Akapbio of Akwa Ibom state.

The former Minister of Environment while speaking with newsmen in Abuja said there is cordial relationship between her and governor Akpabio.
Esuene said her quest to become the next governor of the state was as a result of her passion for the people of Akwa-Ibom state, saying it would afford her opportunity to serve them better.

She said, “God fatherism is there but you know politics is very dynamic, what you see in the morning is not necessary what you will see in the evening.

“I have a healthy relationship with Governor Akpabio and he has given the go ahead when I discussed with him.
“I am contesting because I am vast with the terrain of that state. I know it very well, I know the peoples’ strength and weakness, I know the ethnic interplay and I am very confident that I will be able to build bridges and ensure peaceful co-existence among the people of the state.”
Esuene who lamented that there were no enough women in elective position in the country put the blame on the culture and also the constitution of Nigeria.
She also mentioned the various areas she has impacted on the life of his people, saying the people in her constituency have been feeling her impact since coming to the Senate.
