After failing to qualify for the last FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup final, Nigeria’s Flamengos will start the qualifying campaign for the 2020 edition billed for India on February 28.
According to the fixtures released by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF), Nigeria has been drawn bye and will play in the second round.
The West African trio of Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana and South Africa have been placed on bye and will join the race in the First Round.
First-round matches will take place between February 28 to March 1 for the first legs while the return matches will be played a week later on the window of March 13 to 15.
Cameroon’s U-17 Women’s football team eliminated Nigeria last year to ensure that the country missed out from the competition for the first since its introduction.
