All is set for the much anticipated Presidential Reception for the 9th time African Champions, Super Falcons of Nigeria at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja on Wednesday, Prompt News Online can report.
According to a top official of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) who should know, members of the Super Falcons delegation to the just concluded 11th Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) have been notified to gather at the team’s transit hotel in Abuja for the reception.
Expected to attend the reception are Super Falcons players, coaches, backroom staff, support personnel and administrative officers who worked behind the scenes to ensure that Nigeria won the AWCON cup in Ghana to bring the nation’s trophy haul to 9 and three in a row to win the Gold plated diadem for keeps.
It is expected that Mr. President will on behalf of the appreciative country surprise every member of the victorious team delegation to Ghana and even the top officials of NFF led by President Amaju Melvin Pinnick for using football to attract positive commentaries about Nigeria.
