Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says that a total of 21,924 candidates registered for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in Jigawa.
Public Relations Officer of JAMB in the state, Mr Mukarram Bello, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse on Monday.
Bello said that the candidates were registered between Jan. 15 and Feb. 26 at the 12 approved computer-based test (CBT) centres across the state.
He gave the total number of the indigenes of the state who registered for the examination nationwide as 25,499, out of the 1,985,642 registered by the board.

The public relations officer further stated that the JAMB office in the state, on Mechanic Village, Dutse, was the only centre approved by the board for the ongoing direct entry (DE) registration.
According to him, the mock UTME will hold on March 7, while the main UTME is expected to hold between April 19 and April 29.
“All 2024 UTME candidates, who opted for the optional mock examination, can start printing their mock notification slip by visiting: www.jamb.gov.ng or any JAMB-approved CBT centre,” Bello said. (NAN)
