Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong says Tuesday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchday six encounter is a “must win”for the team, Prompt News reports.
The Super Eagles bounced back into reckoning with a 2-0 win over Rwanda in Kigali last Friday.
It was the three-time African champions first win in the qualifiers.
Troost-Ekong said they can’t afford to drop more points against Zimbabwe after their slow start.
“We are looking forward to a win. The three points are important to us. At this stage, we cannot afford to drop any more points,” he told thenff.com.
“Our aim is to take it one match at a time, collect three points here and there and hope fervently that these will be enough to get us the ticket.”
