Former Gabon international Rémy Ebanega has backed the Panthers to beat the Super Eagles in their 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs, Prompt News reports.
Thierry Mouyouma’s side will take on their fellow West Africans in the semi-final of the playoffs in Rabat on Thursday night
The Panthers have lost only once out of 10 games in the qualifiers.
Though, the Super Eagles barely managed to make it to playoffs, they parades some of the best legs in Africa.
Despite their pedigree, Ebanega is rooting for his countrymen to get the job done.
“It will be 2-1 in favor of Gabon. It will be close, yes, Nigeria is a tough opponent in Africa, a regular qualifier for the World Cup,” Ebanega said to Gabon Eco.
