Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye is delighted to earn an invitation to the Super Eagles for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
Okoye was last invited by Nigeria for the friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique last November.
The 24-year-old was however not considered for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The shot stopper is among the 23 players listed by Nigeria head coach, Finidi George for the games against Bafana Bafana and Squirrels.
“I am very happy to return to the national team. it is a great honor for me and my family to play for Nigeria,” Okoye told Udinese official website. READ ALSO:

The Super Eagles will host Bafana Bafana at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday, June 7.
The three-time African champions will travel to Abidjan to keep a date with the Squirrels three days later.
