Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum was full of praise for his players despite their disappointing ouster from the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The Super Falcons were knocked out after going down 4-2 on penalties to the Three Lionesses of England in their Round of 16 contest at the Lang Park, Brisbane on Monday morning.
Waldrum’s side were the best in the game and carved out enough chances to win the game.
The Super Falcons hit the cross bar twice and had chances to win the game in extra time.

“I’m so proud of them, to come in and play like we did tonight. We had every opportunity to get it done. Unfortunately, we couldn’t quite get it done,” the American was quoted by FIFA.com.
“We had the best chances, we hit the crossbar twice. When it gets to penalties, it’s anyone’s game.”
