Nigeria’s Super Falcons will be without key duo Rasheedat Ajibade and Halimat Ayinde for their clash against Canada.

The Super Falcons will begin their campaign at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup against Canada on Friday.

The encounter is slated for the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.

PROMPT NEWS reports that Ajibade and Ayinde are suspended for the game.

The influential duo were sent off in Super Falcons’ semi -final defeat against hosts Morocco at the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.

FIFA said in a disciplinary review  that the two  players are not eligible to feature  against the Canadians.

They are however expected to return for the team’s next game co-hosts Australia.
