Morocco suffered an embarrassing 6-0 defeat to Germany in their first-ever match at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Talented forward Alexandra Popp scored twice in the encounter.
It was the biggest win of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup thus far.
Popp gave two-time champions, Germany the lead on 11 minutes from a perfectly timed header.

Kathrin Hendrich added the third in the second half.
Salt was then applied to Morocco wounds with Hanane Ait Al Haj and Yassim Mrabet conceding own goals.
