Sao Tome and Principe captain Luis Leal has stated that they are in Uyo to beat their hosts the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The True Patriots will take on Nigeria in their final 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday.
Adriano Eusebio’s men were battered 10-0 in the reverse fixture in June 2022.
Sao Tome have conceded 10 more goals in the qualifiers and are already out of contention for a place in Cote d’Ivoire 2023. READ ALSO:

Despite the gulf in class between both teams, Leal is however confident they can avenge their defeat to the Super Eagles this time around.
“We are here to thrash and humiliate the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Uyo,” he boasted.
