The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Tuesday released the list of 85 referees for a preparatory course ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
No Nigerian officials however made the shortlist.
The officials that will undergo the course are; centre referees, assistant referees, VAR referees, technical instructors, physical trainers, VAR technicians and IT support.
Egypt and Algeria dominated the list of referees, with the two North African countries having three officials listed. READ ALSO:

Four VAR referees are selected from Mauritius, South Africa, Morocco and Egypt. Seven technical instructors and physical trainers from Zimbabwe, Burundi, Cote D’Ivoire, Senegal, Morocco and Djibouti were selected.
Cote d’Ivoire will host the competition from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
