Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Haruna Manu has described the governor of Sokoto State and presidential aspirant in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), , Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, as a complete detribalized Nigerian who will give every part of the country a sense of belonging.
He made the declaration in Jalingo on Wednesday while receiving Tambuwal who arrived the state to solicit support from Taraba delegates to next week’s national convention of the party.
Manu, who stood in for Governor Dickson Darius, noted that while “if you are looking for a true Nigerian, you will get His Excellency Aminu Waziri Tambuwal. I know him and so many people who served with him in the House of Representatives can attest to that.
“In this country, what we need is a leader that can work 247 – a digital president that can work 247.
“I am happy with the quality of people – the crop of people I have seen around him and I am hopeful that with him and these people, Nigeria will be safe.
“We need a leader with a grasp of the economy to turn our economy around and also address our security challenges because security in this country has not faired any better. It’s getting even worse with killings, kidnappings and all that.
Governor Tambuwal had in his brief remarks, noted that the global nature of the world requires a Nigerian leader who understands the dynamics and complexities of world politics.
“The president of Nigeria doesn’t need to be an economics; we will assemble the best brains to help provide solutions to Nigeria’s economic problems.
“Nigeria will be safe in our hands. We shall respect everybody’s rights and liberties.
