Two vagrants, Olamide Adeshina, 30 and Kayode Olofin, 29 were on Wednesday arraigned before a Mapo Chief Magistrates’ court in Ibadan for allegedly stealing 41 porcelain plates, 11 mugs cups.
However, Adeshina and Olofin pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge instituted against them.
The presiding Chief Magistrate, Mrs O.O. Latunji admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N50,000 each with two reliable sureties in like sum.
Latunji subsequently adjourned the matter until May 18 for commencement of trial.
Earlier, the prosecution, Insp Oluseye Akinola had informed the court that the defendants committed the crime on May 12, at Idiodo area of Challenge, Ibadan Oyo State.
Akinola added that that the duo was apprehended by the Felele division of the police patrol team in the midnight while waiting for a vehicle that would convey the large carton for them.

He further stated that Adeshina and Olofin were arguing on how to share the stolen goods before the patrol team arrived at the scene to arrest them.
He noted that the defendants could not give any information on how they came about the carton containing 41 plates and 11 mugs cups.
Akinola also said that Adeshina and Bello stole five plastic chairs, one hand towel, hand grating machine and a sack. (NAN)
