All arrangements have been concluded to receive President Muhammadu Buhari in Zamfara on Thursday, according to the state Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Ibrahim Dosara.
Dosara, who is also the Chairman, Publicity Sub-Committee of the President’s visit, said in a statement on Wednesday that Buhari would use the opportunity to commiserate with victims of the Jan. 5 attack by bandits
It would be recalled that the bandits attacked residents of Anka and Bukuyum Local Government Areas.
“The state government has made adequate arrangements to receive the August visitor; Security agencies have mapped out necessary security measures to ensure a hitch-free event,” Dosara said.
He, however, warned residents, especially the youth, against carrying weapons, including matches, knives, and sticks during the visit.
The commissioner also warned motorists against indiscriminate parking, especially on the major roads.
Dosara said the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other operatives had been directed to tow all vehicles that violated the arrangement made for the parking of automobiles.
He said Gusau, the state capital, would be closed to motorists during the three hours of the visit, adding “all motor parks in Gusau will be shut down until after the President departs’’.(NAN)
