It is interesting the number of People claiming that they are being affected positively by positive advice or admonition. The truth is guidance is by choice. You cannot guide the one that refuse guidance. I extend my appreciation to the lot of you that are genuinely seeking guidance. Oh Allah, make our Faith firm after You have guided us, You are also the Assistant of those seeking for assistance, Oh Allah, Assist us. Amin.
Let us examining how Islam as a Religion guides to better health and by extension prevent you from destroying yourself. If you do not want to get diseases, I mean incurable diseases, the Creator (s.w.t) has come to you with a Platform, it is now left to you to devote worship to Him alone and also obey the Commandment. The platform is Deen Al-Islam.
Reflect on This Verse:
100:6. ‘Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord’;
100:7. ‘And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds)’;
100:8. ‘And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth’.
100:9. ‘Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected)’.
100:10. ‘And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known’.
100:11. ‘Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds)’.
The attainment of optimum health, with steady mental and emotional balance is a personal responsibility Act. Where your health is concerned, your health is in what goes into your stomach and general hygiene.
When The Jews Came to the Prophet for enlightenment:
2:219. ‘They ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning alcoholic drink and gambling. Say: “In them is a great sin, and (some) benefit for men, but the sin of them is greater than their benefit.”
Direct Command to Believer: if you choose Success….’
5:90 ‘O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), gambling, AlAnsab, and AlAzlam (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaitans (Satan) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful’.
Why You Should Avodi Intoxicants: 5:91. ‘Shaitan (Satan) wants only to excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants (alcoholic drinks) and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah and from As-Salat (theprayer).
So, will you not then abstain?’
If You Disobey, You Are On YourOwn:
5:92. ‘And obey Allah and the Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and beware (of even coming near to drinking or gambling or AlAnsab, or AlAzlam, etc.) and fear Allah. Then if you turn away, you should know that it is Our Messengers duty to convey (the Message) in the clearest way’.
It is funny when people that are suppose to be enlightened do things not in tandem with deep thinking. If you do not practice what you know, you are likened to an Ass carrying loads of books!
Hear The First Revelation:
Al-Alaq The Clot Chapter 96 Al-Alaq 19
96:1. ‘Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists)’,
96:2. ‘Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood).’
96:3. ‘Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous’,
96:4. ‘Who has taught (the writing) by the pen (the first person to write was Prophet Idrees’
(Enoch) )’,
96: 5. ‘Has taught man that which he knew not’.
96:6. ‘Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.)’.
96:7. ‘Because he considers himself self-sufficient’.
96:8. ‘Surely! Unto your Lord is the return’.
Ponder on Islam, each time the beauty of the Religion keep staring you in the face and as the Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h) said: Alhamdulillah Ala dinil Islam. Thanks be to Allah for the guidance of Islam!
The statistics from the health Ministries, WHO, UNICEF; concerning diseases like Cancer, TB, Diabetics etc are scary, then you begin to appreciate the wisdom of Islam advising the believers not to take, eat or drink certain kind of food or drinks.
Most illness that defy cure are either life-style related or food or environmental related. Among the diseases in question are hypertension, diabetics, Liver or Kidney diseases, Lung Cancer. Critical examination of these illnesses are such that even where you can afford the cost of treatment, the sick person and his family member will not face the problem smiling.
The body system is designed in such a manner that it obeys the Natural order. If you abuse the body it gets knocked down like the vehicle that is been driven by an unbalanced personality. It is better to avoid getting terribly sick by watching what you ingest.
Cervical Cancer has been found to be common among women of easy virtues. Meaning that if a woman feels that she is a happening gal, no problem, sooner or later, she will get what she is looking for. If you follow this talk, you will agree with me that these diseases are incurable and the management is very expensive.
To solve the challenge of Cervical Cancer, get married and maintain it.
Will it then be right if you listen to the Creator of your Body and the owner of your soul as to His advice to you on things that could make you live a wholesome life?
Ash-Shams: Purify Your Soul Please:
91:9. ‘Indeed he succeeds who purifies his ownself (i.e. obeys and performs all that Allah ordered, by following the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism and by doing righteous good deeds)’.
91:10. ‘And indeed he fails who corrupts his ownself (i.e. disobeys what Allah has ordered by rejecting the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism or by following polytheism, etc. or by doing every kind of evil wicked deeds)’.
Volume 7, Book 69, Number 484:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, ‘An adulterer, at the time he is committing illegal sexual intercourse is not a believer; – You avoid Sexually transmitted diseases
and a person, at the time of drinking an alcoholic drink is not a believer; – You avoid liver, kidney and diabetic disease
and a thief, at the time of stealing, is not a believer.’- And you avoid shame, jail and loss of honor not withstanding when you are given state pardon
Ibn Shihab said: ‘Abdul Malik bin Abi Bakr bin ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Al- Harith bin Hisham told me that Abu Bakr used to narrate that narration to him on the authority of Abu Huraira.
He used to add that Abu Bakr used to mention, besides the above cases, ‘And he who robs (takes illegally something by force) while the people are looking at him, is not a believer at the time he is robbing (taking). In these category you can group together – Armed Robbery, Rape, Election Rigging, Ballot Box Snatching, etc
Chapter 3 : FORBIDDEN TO USE WINE AS A MEDICINE Book
Wa’il al-Hadrami reported that Tariq b. Suwaid a-Ju’fi asked Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) about liquor. He forbade (its use) and he expressed hatred that it should be prepared. He (Tariq) said: I prepare it as a medicine, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: It is no medicine, but an ailment.
The Essence of Life is to know that Your Health And Your Personality apre Interrelated. Pathway to Mental Sickness is intoxicant. A dose of Alcohol or intoxicant will do you more harm than good. Intoxicant is also the pathway towards self destruction. Your health is your responsibility. If you will not stop evil because of Allah s.w.t; at least for your own health and mental balance, do some good to yourself. Think about it and tow the path of honor. The choice is yours.
