Former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo is in line to be appointed General Manager of Nigeria Premier League club, Rivers United.
According to several reports, Yobo has been touted as replacement for the incumbent, Okey Kpalukwu by the Rivers State Government.
Kpalukwu has been managing the affairs of the former NPL champions for over one decade.
Under him, the Port Harcourt club won their first NPL title two years ago and make it to the quarter -final of the CAF Confederation Cup.
PROMPT NEWS reports that Yobo, who is an indigene of the state was Super Eagles assistant coach at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
The former Everton defender was capped 101 times and represented Nigeria at three FIFA World Cups as well as six Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
