By Gracious Akujobi Head coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi may have finally bowed to the powers that be as he is set to invite the duo of Ikechukwu Uche and Osaze Odemwingie to the Super Eagles.
Prompt News Online gathered that the two strikers who are doing well in their clubs- Villareal FC and Stoke City will be in the provincial list of players for the training camp in United States for the World Cup.
A reliable source at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said they are taking this issue of non invitation of these two players by Keshi seriously because World Cup is a serious business and a country needs its best and experienced players.
Keshi has announced that both players will not fit into his World Cup program as he says they are indiscipline.
The official however noted that the players have to prove to the coach that they can be included in the final 23-man list to the World Cup.
“We are sure that the coach wants to get result in Brazil and he will take the best legs that would enable him achieve that.
“So, if the players do well in camp I do not see any reason why he will not want to take them to Brazil. At least, we all shall be there to see how they would perform in training.
“It is his duty as the manager of the team to have a way of relating with the players even though they are indiscipline as he had said. Who can be more indiscipline than Baloteli, yet, he is in the Italian squad,” the source opined.
