Nigeria has been drawn in Group F alongside Argentina, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iran ahead of the finals of the World Cup holding in Brazil in 2014.
The four countries will slug it out at the preliminary stage to pick the lone slot for group F to proceed to the quarter-finals.
The colourful World Cup draw ceremony was held in Costa do Sauipe, Bahia State Brazil and presided over by FIFA Secretary General, Jerome Valcke.
He was assisted by football icons from the countries that have won the biggest football fiesta in the world.
They are Sir Geoff Hurst, Mario Kempes, Fabio Cannavaro, Lothar Matthaus, Zinedine Zidane, Fernando Hierro, Cafu and Alcides Ghiggia.
The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Aminu Maigari led Nigeria’s delegation to the draw. On the delegation were head coach, Stephen Keshi, Chairman of Technical Committee, Chris Green, Media Chief, Ademola Olajire and team’s administrator, Enebi Achor.
Nigeria was the first team in Africa to pick a world cup ticket after defeating the Ethiopian team in Calabar.
