Prince Oluyemisi Adetayo Adeaga (JP), has signified his intention to contest for the position of the President-General of the Central Council of lbadan Indigenes (CCII) in the coming elections holding in April, 2021.
As part of a larger plan to make the CCII great again, Prince Adeaga stated that the organization at this point in time requires the services of real humanist, administrator with exemplary leadership style – a thing he said he is willing to put to bear if given the opportunity.
The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), a social-cultural organization, is an umbrella body for all the socio-cultural societies/clubs of Ibadan extraction both at home and abroad.
One of the cardinal objectives for its formation is to provide a forum for the coordination and harmonization of all the developmental efforts of the constituent societies towards the promotion of economic, social, education and cultural interest of Ibadanland with a view to achieving the fullest measure of effectiveness.
While sharing his vision for the organization and Ibadan, Prince Adeaga said he is seeing a metropolis that will be easily receptive to industrial and economic growth based on human re-engineering towards building capacities for productivity, thus forming a good base to attract investors in relevant fields.
Speaking further, he maintained that his leadership is poised to ensuring all ongoing infrastructural facilities are completed, with their sustainability guaranteed.
According to him, other areas to be given adequate attention include: deliberate intention to fight illiteracy, dropouts; promotion of sound orientation and academic productivity among students; fight societal ills such as – banditry, kidnapping, armed robbery and other social vices; infrastructural and agricultural development; educational advancement; protection of Ibadan rich tradition and cultural heritage; find a common ground to achieve religious harmony among the various religious community among others.
Prince Adeaga, who has spent the larger part of his time both professionally and privately serving humanity in various capacities, is determined to make further impacts with CCII which boasts of having five National Presidents and six National Secretaries since its establishment in 1982.
