By Gracious Akujobi Coach of the national U-20 team Garba Manu has said that his team will not be carried away by their wins in the ongoing Super 4 tournament.
Manu told Prompt News that any player who brings in complacency in his style of play will pay dearly for it by losing his position.
“We are not allowing the victory we have recorded so far affect us,we will not be carried away by these wins.
“We are happy to be playing this tourney before the African Youth Championship (AYC) because it will toughen our players before the real tournament.
“We will make corrections where necessary before the championships in Senegal and the World Cup.
“Any player who allows his fellow player take his position will pay dearly for it. It means that player is automatically out. Even the team captain cannot relax because he wears the captain band.
“I and my coaches have resolved to give all the players equal opportunity to excel, so you either shape in or shape out,” he stated.
The Flying Eagles as the team is called will after the Super 4 tourney go on a training tour of Gambia before flying into Senegal for the AYC.
