By Gracious Akujobi Chairman of Nigeria premier league side Kano Pillars, Abba Yola says NFF’s Appeal Committee’s decision to allow his team has a replay against Enyimba is the best decision.
Speaking with Prompt News Online, Yola says he whole heartedly accepted the decision which he says went down well with both teams.
“I think replaying our match against Enyimba is the best decision for both teams. What this does is that it will remove any form of bad blood that may arise as a result of awarding 3 points and 3goals to one particular team”
“It is good for both teams to go there and replay and I believe both teams will accept whatever result that comes after the game. I am optimistic my boy will make us proud at the end of the day”
Despite the fact that his team is known for not winning away from Kano, Yola says they are not afraid to replay the match, adding that his team not winning away from home has changed because his boys have been able to win in Kaduna.
“We are not afraid replaying the match, and it is true we do not particularly have a good away record but I assure you that we will not lose in Lokoja. We have won twice in Kaduna away from home so I believe Lokoja will bring us that luck we need to win the match” he said.
Kano Pillars FC will replay Enyimba FC on October 8 at the Confluence Stadium Lokoja. They currently occupy the 3rd position with 57 points on the league table.
