Canada head coach, Brev Priestman has fired a warning shot at the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
The North Americans will take on the Super Falcons in their opening game at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup on Friday, July 21.
The encounter will hold at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.
Canada held England to a 0-0 draw in their last friendly game ahead of the World Cup on Friday night.
Priestman, who expressed satisfaction with her side’s performance declared their readiness for the task ahead.
“I think we definitely took a step forward today. We were a tough team to beat. To keep a clean sheet against England, you’ve got to be happy with that,” Priestman said after the game.
Australia and New Zealand will co-host the World Cup from July 20 to August 20.
