**As Ghana Champions, Ampem Darkoa face Sam Nelly

As the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League West African qualifiers reach the business end today, Nigeria’s representatives, Delta Queens of Asaba will clash with Atletico FC of Cote D’Ivoire in the first semi-final match billed for Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City by 3 pm local time.
This is even as Ghana champions, Ampem Darkoa FC will take on Sam Nelly FC from Benin Republic in the second game of the day slated for 6:30 pm local time as the winners of the two matches will meet in the final of the competition to fight for the ticket to represent WAFU B nations in the CAF women’s league which will hold in
Cote D’Ivoire later in the year.
To reach the semi-final stage, the 2023 Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) champions, thrashed USFA of Burkina Faso 3-0 in the first Group A tie and also beat Sam Nelly 2-0 in the second match of the group.
Group B winners, goal-scoring Ampem Darkoa walloped Atletico FC of Cote D’Ivoire 4-2 and defeated Amis Du Monde (Friends of the World FC) of Togo 3-1 to qualify for the semi-final.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s Ruth David will serve as CAF Match Commissioner for the encounter between Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa and Togolese champions Amis Du Monde tonight at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
David who is the Director of Competitions in Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had also supervised other matches in the competition including the Ampem Darkoa versus Atletico and Amis Du Monde (Friends of the World FC) respectively.
Other Nigerians who are on CAF duties in Benin City are Barnabas Bitrus Joro, Abdulatif Issufu and Alabi Richard working as Security Officers, Media Officers and Technical Study Group (TSG) as well as some women referees handling matches in the competition.
