Apparently satisfied with their performances so far in the Women’s Champions League (WCL) West Africa Football Union (WAFU-B) qualifier tournament in Abidjan, Cote D’ Ivoir, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Nigerian officials to take charge of the 3rd Place Match between USFA of Burkina Faso and Amis du Monde (Friends of World) FC of Togo billed for artificial turf of Stade Robert Champroux, Abidjan by 3pm local time on Thursday.
According to an information obtained from CAF by Prompt News on Wednesday, Nigeria’s Eunice Yemisi Akintoye will be the Center Referee of the Match Number 9 (3rd Place Match) and she will be working with her compatriots Mfon Friday Akpan as Assistant Referee 1 while Felicia Chibuogwu Okwugba will be the Referee Assessor.
Also, Ruth David, an Acting Director of Competitions at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been appointed as the Match Commissioner. It will be her third match in the two week competition in Abidjan.
Other officials of the classification match on Thursday are Alice Farizua Chakule of Ghana who will serve as Assistant Referee 2; Nafissa Sani of Niger is the Fourth Official; Boureima Boubacar of Niger is the General Coordinator; Mercy QuarcooTagoe of Ghana (Technical Study Group) and Bbouba Hainikoye Ismael of Niger (Media Officer.
Akpovi Joachim Bienvenu of Benin will serve as Security Officer; Lucette De Yed Akpa of Côte D’Ivoire (Assistant General Coordinator) and Serge Innocent Bailly of Côte D’Ivoire (CAF Competitions) and Cyrille Serges Dah of Côte D’Ivoire (COVID-19 Officer).
Meanwhile, CAF has also named Jacqueline Nikiema of Burkina Faso as the Center Referee for the epic final of the WAFU-B Tournament between Rivers Angels (Nigeria) and Hasaacas Ladies (Ghana) slated for 7pm local time at the same venue. She will be working with Lou Djenan Prisca Danielle TA of Côte D’Ivoire as Assistant Referee 1; Nafissatou Yekini Shitou Benin Republic is the Assistant Referee 2 and Côte D’Ivoire of Zomadre Sonia Kore
is the Fourth Official of the encounter.
CAF also appointed the following officials to supervise the final match. They are: Sabine Marie Isabelle Tall Zoungrana, Commissioner (Burkina Faso); Tempa N’Dah Francois, Referee Assessor( Benin); Klussey Delali Yvette, General Coordinator (Togo) and Natogoma Clementine Toure, Technical Study Group (Côte D’Ivoire). Abouba Hainikoye Ismael of Niger is the Media Officer; Akpovi Joachim Bienvenu, Security Officer (Benin); Boureima Boubacar, Assistant General Coordinator (Niger); Serge Innocent Bailly, CAF Competitions (Côte D’Ivoire) and Cyrille Serges Dah of Côte D’Ivoire (COVID-19 Officer).
