West African Senior School Certificate Examination has announced that the Nigeria Examinations Committee meeting has commenced.
The 78th meeting is set to tackle the pressing issue of malpractice and irregularities reported during the 2024 WASSCE for school candidates.
In a Monday statement shared on X, the West African Examinations Council emphasised the importance of this meeting, urging stakeholders to remain informed.
“The 78th Meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) begins today to consider & decide on the malpractice/irregularity cases arising from the conduct of WASSCE for School Candidates, 2024,” it read.
This significant meeting and the outcomes are expected to have profound implications for students and the broader educational landscape in Nigeria.
WAEC has also urged affected candidates and the public to stay tuned for updates on the outcomes.
PUNCH Online reported that the exam result was released two months ago.
The message read, “The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for school candidates, 2024 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 12, 2024.”
Meanwhile, PUNCH Online reported that WAEC withheld the results of 215,267 candidates from the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination. (PUNCH).
