Former Spokesperson of Afenifere and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Dayo Adeyeye has called on members and supporters of the party to monitor closely, the ongoing
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise in the State.
Adeyeye urged those that were yet to register, and those whose names did not appeared in the voters registers displayed in the various polling units last week to go out and register so as to be able to
vote during the June 21, 2014 governorship election and other future elections.
Addressing PDP Monitoring Team at his Ise-Ekiti country home today, the governorship aspirant called on Security agents in the State to provide adequate security at the designated registration centres,
alleging that there were plans by the State Government to bring people from Ondo, Kwara, Oyo, Ogun and Lagos States to come and register in Ekiti State.
He also urged PDP leaders to relocate to their various wards to monitor the exercise.
“This is a very important exercise and we must note joke with it.
“We are aware of plans by the APC government in the State to import people from Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo and Kwara States to come and register here because they know that the real Ekiti people living here won’t vote for them.
“We must therefore be very vigilant throughout the exercise, and must get those coming to register to identify themselves properly.
“If you notice any strange face, make sure you report to security agents for necessary action,” Adeyeye said.
