Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Volleyball Club on Friday in Abuja won their fourth game in the male competition of the Final Eight Tournament of the 2018 Nigeria Volleyball Premier League.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that NPF defeated Plateau Rocks of Jos 26-24 25-22 26-24 in a very tight game at the Abuja National Stadium.
It was the fourth game of the competition for NPF, who had lost their opening game on Monday against Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) 1-3.
They lost their second game against Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) 0-3, while they won their third game against Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) 3-1.
Speaking after Friday’s game, the NPF coach, Taiwo Oladipupo, noted that his players played really good this time to deserve their win.
“I am happy my players did really well. We have played four matches. We lost two and we have won two.
“Now, we are going to work really hard to win our last match on Saturday against Kano Pillars,” he added.
NAN reports that six clubs are participating in the male category of the league.
These are the NCS, NPF, NSCDC, NIS, Kano Pillars and Plateau Rocks.
NAN reports that the final eight round of the Nigerian volleyball league which is holding at the Package B of the Abuja National Stadium began on Sunday and will end on Saturday.
