From Bolaji Oyegunle, London Arsenal are reportedly considering bringing Patrick Vieira back to north London to shadow and ultimately succeed Arsene Wenger as manager.
Vieira, who is widely regarded as Arsenal’s greatest ever captain, made 279 appearances in the Premier League before moving to Juventus in 2005.
And according to the Daily Mirror, the club is keen on giving the French World Cup winner a role similar to Ryan Giggs’ at Manchester United.
Vieira is currently the Elite Development squad manager at Manchester City but it’s believed their owners are eyeing a move for Pep Guardiola, who looks likely to leave Bayern Munich next summer.
The Gunners may have to move quickly to tie down a deal for their former skipper, with MLS outfit New York City already understood to be chasing his signature.
