The Association of Professional Footballers of Nigeria Saturday presented an award to coach Stephen Keshi for what they call a job well done.
The group led by Henry Nwosu and its Executive Secretary, Austin Popo presented the award immediately after Super Eagles defeated Malawi in Calabar.
In his remarks, Henry Nwosu said all former and current footballers are happy with the work Keshi has done with the Super Eagles
“On behalf of Nigerian players and the association of professional footballers of Nigeria, we present this to you coach Stephen Keshi for a job well done and we are happy for what you have done and what you are doing for all players, yourself and the country. We pray that you do better than what you are doing now to take Nigeria football to the greatest height”.
A delighted Keshi says it feels great to be so honoured by the Players’ Association. “I feel great, something I never expected, that means they appreciate what I am doing.
“I also take this award on behalf of Nigerian coaches to let them know that we are all together in this project of bringing Nigeria football to the front burner”.
