Veritas University has announced the appointment of Mr. Ben Agande as the head of its Corporate Affairs and Communication Unit.
The foremost Abuja-based faith university said it enlisted the services of Mr. Agande as part of its ongoing efforts to reposition the university “to face the challenges of the future as it expands.”
In a statement signed by the University’s Deputy Registrar, Human Resources, Onouha K. Emeaba, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Rev. Fr. Professor Hyacinth Ichoku, enjoined the new appointee to positively project the university’s image by leveraging on its “good name and sterling records”
Reacting to his appointment, Mr. Agande expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor and the Management of Veritas University for finding him worthy of the appointment.
“Veritas University has taken off and is at a cruising altitude. It is a remarkable honor to be considered suitable for this new position. I am excited to be part of this exceptional team and, God-willing, I will throw in my all to ensure that the dream of the founding fathers of this university is achieved,” he said.
Mr. Agande, who until recently served as the General Manager of the Benue Printing and Publishing Corporation, Publishers of the Voice Newspaper in Makurdi, brings over 25 years of experience as a journalist and information manager, spanning both the public and private sectors. READ ALSO:

He held roles such as the National Assembly and State House Correspondent of Vanguard Newspapers, Abuja, covering the presidencies of former leaders including Olusegun Obasanjo, Umaru Yar’Adua, Goodluck Jonathan, and briefly, Muhammadu Buhari.
Mr. Agande also served as a Senior Special Assistant to former Governor George Akume on Media and Publicity and as the Head of Media at the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA), Abuja.
The statement said Mr. Agande has already assumed his duties.
