Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will do battle with Mali in the semi-final of the Africa U -20 Cup of Nations on Wednesday at the Stade Seyni Kountche, Niamey, Promptnewsonline.com reports.
Mali defeated Ghana 1-0 in their final Group B game at the Maradi Stadium to book a date in the last four with the seven-time champions.
The Malians finished in second position in the group behind the young Terangha Lions of Senegal.
The Flying Eagles top Group A with seven points with two wins and a draw from their three group games.
Both Nigeria and Mali also clashed in the semi-final of the U-20 WAFU Cup in Togo in December with the Flying Eagles winning 1-0 to reach the final of the sub-regional tourney.
The match will kick-off at 4.30 pm Nigerian time.
Senegal and South Africa will clash in the other semi-final also on Wednesday at the Seyni Kountche Stadium.
