The Golden Eaglets, Nigeria’s U-17 side will know their group foes at this year’s Africa U-17 Cup of Nations on Wednesday, February 1st, reports Prompt News.
The draw ceremony, according to information on the official website of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will hold at the Cercle National de l’Armée in Algiers, Algeria.
11 other teams including hosts Algeria, Morocco, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Mali, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Congo and Zambia will take part in the biennial competition.
The Golden Eaglets head into the competition as the WAFU B U-17 Champions.
Nduka Ugbade’s side defeated Burkina Faso 2-1 in the final.
The 2023 U-17 AFCON will be held in Algeria from April 29 to May 19 in the cities of Algiers, Constantine and Annaba.
