Tottenham Hotspur forward, Dominic Solanke has expressed his desire to visit Nigeria.
Prompt News reports that Dominic Solanke was born in Reading, Berkshire to Nigerian father and English mother.
The 27-year-old has however never visited the West African country.
The former Chelsea player said he is keen to no more about his roots.
“I haven’t actually been yet,” he told Showmax.
“I definitely need to take some time off soon and go and see my roots, so hopefully in the next few years.”
Solanke is not eligible to play for Nigeria again having represented England at the senior.
The striker revealed he always keep tabs on happenings in Nigerian football.
“My favourite Nigerian footballer currently has to be Ademola Lookman. We are very close friends. What he has been doing over the past few years has been nothing short of phenomenal,” he added.
What he has been doing has been crazy, especially for the Nigerian national team so I have been super proud.
“Another of my favourite Nigerian footballers has to be Victor Osimhen. He has been one of the best in the world.”
